Description
January 2016 saw the El Nino jet streaming over Florida!! It was extending from the mid Pacific, over northern Mexico, through the Gulf of Mexico!! It continued on into the Atlantic ocean. It was very easy to see the north edge of it as the clouds streamed over head at winds of 100 to 140 mph at a altitude of about 30,000 feet. This narrow jet made a beautiful photo as the sun was setting in the west. What I wanted to capture was the grander of something so big and so majestic, connecting two oceans!! Yet with beauty comes danger!! It did being bad weather to gulf coast of Florida, along with tornados, that cause death and damage. This is the largest photo I have ever make!! It had to be big to capture the entire sky of color. Looking out over the salt marshes and hammocks that extend out into the gulf!! With this being one of the many tributaries, it reflected the colors like a mirror!! If you have a big wall, this is the photo for it. It can spans a huge 8'x4'!! I hope you like this weather inspired photo that I call El Nion Sky!!! Photo shot just outside of Yankeetown Florida.

Excellent, love the way the curvature of the clouds matches the shore in the left foreground
