Description
The Tampa train station is a beautiful old building that has been restored to it's old glory days. Most of the building is as it was at the turn of the century. Yes I remember going thru these gates as a 8 year old and riding the train to New York. There nothing that comes close to those memories. The train dose not run as often as it use to. Most people fly now days, but trains are still in use and people still use them! My next tip will have to be by rail just for the fun of it!!!

I love the timelessness of the image, Marvin. Your image could have been made fifty years ago or yesterday. Well done! L/F

Beautiful capture of the old train depot, Marvin. I've walked through those gates too, heading to NY and New England. Great memories! L/fv

I have been interested in trains ever since I was actually about 2 years old. I remember back in 1964 (I was 6) we traveled from Jersey to Florida. I thought it would be by train, but it turned out to be my first airplane flight instead. Your excellent photograph provides me with my first opportunity to see this rail transportation facility. Thanks! F/V
