Description
Old farm houses!! Many have stood for 80, 90 years. There owners have been long gone. But we are all so drawn to these old abandon relicts from years ago. I think it is the charm they seem to have. This old house although covered with wood siding, I notice that under the siding it was once a long cabin. The old structure toward the front, had been added on to toward the back. Funny how the new structure is the area of the old house that has fallen in the most. Maybe when the new was add that is when the siding went on. I think of the people living here during the great depression. People that were just growing enough food to live on, and just getting by off the land. I did not touch, or take anything, and I did not leave anything but my foot prints on this old property from long ago!! "Once Was Home"!!! I added a oil painting finish to this photo!!! Photo was shot in southern Georgia.

I often wonder about what previously happened places that we see now. I wonder who lived there and what they did. What a great capture and story, Marvin! l/f

Beautiful image, Marvin. Love the colors and the way nature covers the remains and takes back the land.
