Description
Although mostly flat Florida dose have a few locations with rapids. The water is actually moving fast enough for the sound of moving water to be heard. I had to capture a photo of this amazing event. Deep in the Hillsborough River State park the river reveals it self to be a rapid flowing body of water! Rocks line the bottom of the river as the water flowed over for spectacular white water. The shore is lined with tall cypress trees. Funny thing about the Bald cypress trees is that their root system will grow up from the ground and form what is call cypress knees. The knees line the shore in this area. I hope you will enjoy this photo that I call "Knees In The Rapids"!!!
