Description
This is the Newport (Nieuport) from from world war I. It is a French biplane fighter build in 1918. With its 9 cylinder 160 hp engine it could reach a top speed of about 122 mph. This was very fast for 1918. This one is shown with out the canvas covering on the wings and fuselage to show the wood detail and framing. The Newport was both fast and maneuverable in combat and could hold its on against other fighter of it time!!! I hope you enjoy "Bare Bones"!!!
